Specifically, the FDA approved Revatio for patients with PAH classified as WHO Group 1. This includes idiopathic PAH, PAH linked to connective tissue diseases, HIV infection, or congenital heart disease, and PAH resulting from other conditions.
Importantly, Revatio is Not approved for erectile dysfunction (ED). While it contains the same active ingredient as Viagra, the dosage and intended use differ significantly. Using Revatio to treat ED is not recommended and may be harmful.
